This “I Like…” activity is a fun, simple, and engaging way to get your preschooler to explore their likes and interests. Not only does this activity help with social and emotional development, but it also helps little learners work on their early literacy skills.

Materials
Construction Paper
Pictures Cut Out From A Magazine
Glue
Something To Write With

This activity is extremely easy to get ready for. Start by writing “I Like…” on the top of a piece of construction paper. Next, give your little one a pile of pictures cut out from magazines and let them pick out things that they like.

Once your child has picked out a few things they like, let them glue on each picture one at a time. After each picture is glued on, ask your little one to tell you what it is and then write their description down. Your child’s description of the picture might not match what it actually is, but that is totally okay.

If you want to expand this activity, you can ask your child to talk about why they like each thing they picked for their collage.

If you try this activity with your child, I’d love to see a picture or two! Please join my Facebook group to share your little one’s finished project!
