Recently, I stopped into Steel Valley Brew Works in Boardman, Ohio for lunch. My dad, my daughter, and I were looking for somewhere family friendly to eat lunch before walking around the Southern Park Mall.

As soon as we walked in, I could tell that Steel Valley Brew Works had a wonderfully unique atmosphere. We were able to pick where we’d like to sit and several of the tables had games on them to enjoy. The staff was very friendly and greeted us soon after we sat down, but all the ordering was done from a little device on the table. A staff member did offer to take our order if we didn’t want to use the device, but I actually preferred ordering electronically. We were brought a carafe of water while we ordered, which I loved, since both my daughter and I drink a lot of water.

I ordered the Reuben panini and my daughter got a pepperoni flatbread. They do not have a kids menu, but the flatbread was huge, so next time I will probably just share it with her. While we waited for our food to come, we played a few games of UNO with the giant cards that they had. It was a great way to occupy my game loving five year old. The menu had a lot of items that were perfect for sharing. My Reuben panini was really good. It was just the right amount of food, neither too much nor too little.

After we ate, we took time to check out the selection of pinball games they had. They also had billiard tables and indoor bocce lanes.

I would definitely visit Steel Valley Brew Works again. It is a great family friendly restaurant, but it would also make a wonderful spot for a date night. The prices were reasonable and the food was yummy!
