Valentine’s Day is just over a week away! Today, we made a simple Valentine’s Day themed tree. This painting craft is great for kids from two to five!

- White Paper
- Brown Construction Paper
- Cotton Swabs
The prep work for this craft is really easy! I just cut out a tree trunk like shape and several rectangles for branches. If your child is comfortable using scissors, you can let them do the cutting.
First, I had my daughter glue the tree and branches onto the white paper.
After that, I gave her paint with cotton swabs and showed her how to use the cotton swabs to dab paint on the branches. We used a few different colors of paint. She also wanted to draw a heart on the trunk of the tree, so i helped her with that.
This craft project took about 15 minutes and didn’t make too much of a mess!
If you want to read a book with this craft, we have a few suggestions!
